www.alptugan.com - I am a deisgner and interested in physical computing, image processing, sound and interaction design. As a designer, my keyword for the design idea is “multidisciplinary”. Because, my works are generally combined from different disciplines such as music, programming and graphic design. I chose dots and curve visuals to represent multidisciplinary. To make it work, I created a dot which seems to be alive, called “HOME”. When you enter “HOME”, you encounter with other dots which represent my works in different sections. I think, this issue makes sense. Like multidisciplinary, you can’t see other dots until you get into it. And when you click “HOME” second time, it gathers other dots to inside. So it seems to be one. But it indicates many different sub contents at the same time. Each sub-menu (dots) are connected to main dot by curves. Because of the round and smooth - shapes, I selected curve visuals rather than lines. With the help of curves I can emphasize relations between dots. All of the connet to “HOME” by these curves.
As a programmer I chose flash and XML system. My design seems to be so simple. For that reason, I used flash to make it more interactive. With XML system I can update any content page easily. In addition, my flash file is became light weight by using XML system. So viewer do not have to wait so long to check my web site. |
