Watson/DG was tasked with creating a site mirroring the chaotic distortion in the protagonist’s mind, conveying his inner self-conflict in a tangible medium. Watson employed a text platform for manual image corruption and achieved visual glitching and tearing from in-program, resulting in a whirlwind of fleeting images, words and symbols. Each leads to a different exclusive clip, or “memory”, with a bonus if you can remember (or forget) them all before inadvertently interrupting the trance. The quantity of “memories” acquired is shareable across multiple platforms, resulting in an effectively fragmented transition from cognitive cacophony to exceptional interactive experience.

Influenced by international singers, Axelle learned how to sing at the early age. Recording her voice on the tape of an old mini radio and listening to herself over and over again, she improved her skills. As the little perfectionist she was , always challenging herself to hit higher notes.
In 2006 the young multi talent took part in the International music competition ‘Eurosong for kids’. Together with her former best friend she participated as the duo called ‘Lizz@xy’. Their song ‘ik doe wat ik wil’ or ‘I do what I want’ brought it to the Finals. They eventually ended second place and their song became a modest hit in the Belgian kid’s music charts.
After winning the Donna Singstar competition at radio station ‘MNM’ in 2008, Axeela got the opportunity to open the 8 concerts of Belgium’s vocalist ‘Natalia’. She sang for ten thousands of people among which the biggest venue halls including ‘Lotto Arena’ and ‘Vorst National Brussels’. Here she proved she could take on the big audience.
In 2011 Axeela got her big shot on The International television competition ‘The voice’, Flanders Edition. During the Blind auditions she convinced the Coaches and blew everyone away with her cover of ‘I’ts a mans world’ , originally from James Brown. She broke through to the Live shows. Though she didn’t make it to the big Finals, she didn’t go on unnoticed and people finally saw the big talent she was. Being a little disappointed she answered the media with : ‘’I did my best. And this was an amazing opportunity, I’m upset that I didn’t get the chance to show people all that I’m able to do , cause there’s so much more. But the stage is where I belong. I’ll get there, my way. |
