"The Wave Awards" , The Academy of Wireless Arts , Video and Entertainment™ was founded in 2007 to recognize and celebrate individuals and organizations whose contributions to the mobile entertainment and communications industries have enhanced our lives.
Academy founder Christopher “Kip” Hartman, a telecommunications industry veteran, set out to create a unique and powerful platform that would promote creativity, reward excellence and stimulate innovation in the advancement of wireless arts, video and entertainment. In the glorious tradition of the Oscars®, Grammy® and Emmy® Awards, Hartman created The Wave Awards™ (acronym for Wireless Arts, Video and Entertainment) to be the annual celebration of the most outstanding products, services, content, innovations and contributions to the mobile entertainment and communications industries and to become the standard bearer for recognition and celebration for these industries. |
