| Banners Against Poverty (Banner Day) is about showing the huge public desire for action against poverty. Make Poverty History and The Global Call to Action Against Poverty have decided to run a world-wide program which needs supporters to make smaller banners which will be joined together to make a single, gigantic banner. The banners will include messages about eradicating poverty and will also be signed by many people in the communities that make them. Effectively this will create a huge petition which we ultimately hope to present to world leaders as well as all leaders at the World Bank meeting, kindly asking them to Make Poverty History. |
